Amber Alert Canceled For 2-Month Old Houston Boy - Child Found Dead

Houston Police have canceled an Amber Alert issued for a two-month-old boy. The child’s body was found buried in a shallow grave along Buffalo Bayou near Woodway.

The Amber Alert was issued for Misoh Gulabbaksh after his mother reported a black male took the infant from his stroller near the 8000 block of Woodway, jumped in a waiting car and fled.

After being questioned for several hours,the mother, Narjas Golabbakhsh, admitted her story was false. She told investigators the child was dead and she had buried the child beneath some leaves and branches along the bayou.

Police searching along Buffalo Bayou near Woodway and Del Monte found the baby’s body around 2 a.m.

So far, there has been no word on how the child died

AMBER ALERT: 2-MONTH OLD TEXAS BOY

Authorities issued an Amber Alert after a 2-month-old child in a stroller was abducted in west Houston this afternoon.
An unknown man grabbed Misoh Gulabbaksh about 5:30 p.m. in the 8000 block of Woodway. The kidnapper is a black man about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a tattoo on his upper left arm. He was a passenger in a small, two-door brown or beige Chevrolet. The description of the vehicle's driver is unknown.
There are no photos of the child available at this time.

Second Chance For Shuttle Sightings

Monday's planned landing of space shuttle Discovery was canceled because of bad weather in Florida. There will be another landing attempt on Tuesday.Discovery is scheduled to reenter Earth's atmosphere over the continental United States, and many sky watchers--especially in the northwestern USA and neighboring Canada--could view a pre-dawn reentry. The exact ground track depends on weather and whether mission controllers decide to send Discovery to land in Florida or California. Nominally, Discovery would pass diagonally across the country, passing over, e.g., Minneapolis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cincinnati and Jacksonville en route to a 7:34 am EDT landing at the Kennedy Space Center. On the other hand, a redirect to Edwards Air Force Base would strongly favor observers in California. Rare Space Shuttle Re-Entry Over The continental United States

The space shuttle Discovery will make a rare descending node reentry over the continental United States On Monday morning, April 19th. The shuttle will pass over many cities on its rentry to landing in Florida at 8:48 am EDT. the cities and towns include Fort Peck Lake, Montana; Pierre, South Dakota; Sioux City, Iowa; St. Louis, Missouri; Tupelo, Mississippi, Birmingham, Alabama, and Jacksonville, Florida. If you can't see the shuttle you may be able to hear it. The shuttle produces a sonic double-boom that reaches the ground about a minute and a half after passing overhead.

1. South of the Queen Charlotte Islands (western Canada)

5. Across the western border of North Dakota, then over

northern South Dakota tracking northwest to southeast,

directly over the capital of Pierre

6. Across Iowa directly over Sioux City and southwest of

Des Moines and Council Bluffs, Iowa (Mach 18)

7. Over the heart of Missouri, between Kansas City and

St. Louis (Mach 16)

8. Over the eastern border of Arkansas and Tennessee,

east of Memphis (Mach 14)

9. Over NE Mississippi, northeast of Tupelo (Mach 12)

10. Over Alabama tracking northwest to southeast from

Birmingham to Columbus, Georgia (Mach 10)

11. Over southwest Georgia south of Americus

12. Over Florida, almost directly over Jacksonville (Mach 4)
