Amber Alert Canceled For 9-Year Old Washington D.C. Girl

An Amber Alert issued for a nine-year-old Washington, D.C. girl has been canceled. The girl and her mother were found in New York.

AMBER ALERT: 9-YEAR OLD WASHINGTON D.C. GIRL

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert in Washington D.C. for 9-year old Lamoury Bryant. The victim was born July 25, 2000. The child is a black female and  was last seen wearing a green shirt, jean skirt, and flip flops.

The suspected abductor is 49-year old Lamont Johnson. He is a black male and is 5' - 9" tall and weighs 200 lbs. He was was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, white tank top, and blue jeans. He also abducted an adult female and is considered armed and dangerous.

The vehicle used in the abduction is a cream/white Chrysler 300. License plate #4GAX63. The vehicle is licensed in Maryland.

United Pet Group Voluntarily Recalls Pro-Pet Adult Daily Vitamin Supplement

United Pet Group, Cincinnati, Ohio is voluntarily recalling all unexpired lots of its PRO-PET ADULT DAILY VITAMIN Supplement tablets for Dogs due to possible Salmonella contamination. The Food and Drug Administration is aware of this recall.

The product was sold nationally at various retailers. The product comes in 100-count white plastic bottles with a light blue label, and UPC code 26851-01800. These products are being removed from retail stores and consumers should immediately stop feeding these supplements to their pets. The affected products are those with expiration dates on or before "06/13". The expiration date can be found imprinted vertically on the right side of the product label.

Laboratory testing has revealed that one Lot of this vitamin product was contaminated with Salmonella. The company is recalling all unexpired Lots of the product out of an abundance of caution.

Pets with Salmonella infections may be lethargic and have diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, fever, and vomiting. Some pets will have only decreased appetite, fever and abdominal pain. Infected but otherwise healthy pets can be carriers and infect other animals or humans. If your pet has consumed the recalled product and has these symptoms, please contact your veterinarian.

People who handle dry pet food and/or treats can become infected with Salmonella, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the chews or any surfaces exposed to these products. Healthy people infected with Salmonella should monitor themselves for some or all of the following symptoms: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or bloody diarrhea, abdominal cramping and fever. Rarely, Salmonella can result in more serious ailments, including arterial infections, endocarditis, arthritis, muscle pain, eye irritation, and urinary tract symptoms. Consumers exhibiting these signs after having contact with this product should contact their healthcare providers.

The FDA is advising consumers not to purchase and use Magic Power Coffee. The coffee is sold online. It is marketed as a dietary supplement for sexual enhancement.

After careful analysis, the FDA has determined the product contains a chemical similar to the active ingredient found in Viagra. There is the danger of this chemical interacting with prescription drugs, including nitrates. The reaction can cause seriously low blood pressure.

Disasters 2010: Flooding In Brazil Leaves 38 Dead And 1000 Missing

There is heavy flooding in northeastern Brazil due to heavy rains over the weekend. The flooding has left 38 people confirmed dead and 1000 unaccounted for.

The state of Alagoas suffered more than other areas where at least 26 people were killed. There were at least 12 more fatalities in Pernambuco state.

At least 500 people were missing from Uniao dos Palmares. At least 40,000 people are reported homeless from the flooding.

Amber Alert Cancelled In West Valley City, Utah

West Valley City police called off an Amber Alert at 10 p.m. Thursday because they found no solid evidence of a kidnapping. A woman claims she saw two men pull a young girl into a car but provided
little information about the vehicle.


"What the witness is describing is two individuals traveling northbound, veered through traffic, stopped abruptly, got out and picked this girl up. And it certainly caught [her] attention, and now it's caught ours," Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder said Thursday afternoon.

AMBER ALERT: WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH

Local police have issued an Amber Alert after a woman reported seeing a young girl abducted in West Valley City, Utah.

According to authorities, a woman reported seeing two men in a white sedan veer across several lanes toward a young girl who was skateboarding near 5600 West and 5000 South around 10 a.m. Thursday. The woman said the men stopped in front of the girl, pulled her into the car and took off. Police say the girl took the skateboard with her when she was picked up. There was nothing left behind or any indication of a fight.
The girl appeared to be about 8 years old with blond hair and was wearing a light blue sundress. investigators are trying to identify the abducted girl by going door to door in the neighborhood where she was pulled into the car.

The vehicle appeared to be an early-90s model white sedan, possibly a Nissan or Honda, with rust on the car's body. She said its license plate contains the numbers 9770J or 977AJ. The two men are described as in their 30s. One suspect is roughly 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He has short black hair and appears to be in his 30s. He was wearing a white T-shirt and light blue jeans.

Disasters 2010: Oil Leak In Salt Lake City

A Chevron pipeline leaked up to 21,000 gallons of oil into Salt Lake City waterways Saturday. The leak, that was dumping into Red Butte Creek, was shut off early Saturday morning.

Officials are saying between 400 and 500 barrels of oil had been released. The oil has reached the Jordan River and is expected to flow into the Great Salt Lake. an estimated 50 to 60 gallons of crude oil leaked into Red Butte Creek per minute.

The source of the contamination was a 10 inch Chevron crude oil pipeline. The leak began around 10:00 Friday night. Chevron reported receiving high- and low-pressure alarms Friday evening.

"We are working tirelessly with Chevron teams to contain this spill from the critical ecological areas affected in our city," said Becker. "Our fire teams have capped the site and will work to determine the damage and best course of action."

The mayor is asking for residents to stay away from Red Butte Canyon and Liberty Park so crews can adequately manage the spill, and says all water access points along Red Butte Creek, Liberty Park and the Jordan River should be avoided by humans and animals at this time.
Wildlife at Liberty Park has been affected. The park has been closed, for the first time in it's history.

Amber Alert Cancelled For 13-Year Old Tennessee Girl

A Hendersonville teenager,13-year-old Morgan Leigh Heath, was found safe Friday night, less than three hours after authorities issued an Amber Alert. The alert was canceled at about 9 p.m. Friday. Hendersonville police did not offer additional details about what happened.

AMBER ALERT: 13-YEAR OLD TENNESSEE GIRL

Hendersonville, Tennessee police have issued an Amber Alert Friday for 13-year old Morgan Leigh Heath. The girl was last seen at home Friday morning by her mother.
Morgan, who is white and has green eyes and brown hair, was being held against her will, according to a message received by police.
Morgan is 5 feet 5 inches and weighs 130 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a white tank top and black shorts.

Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product.

Units: About 12 million

Manufacturer: ARC International, of Millville, NJ.

Distributor: McDonald’s Corp., Oakbrook, Ill.

Hazard: The designs on the glasses contain cadmium. Long term exposure to cadmium can cause adverse health effects.

Incidents/Injuries: None reported.

Description: The “Shrek Forever After 3D” collectable drinking glass are 16 ounce glasses that came in four designs, Shrek, Fiona, Puss n’ Boots, and Donkey.
