Amber Alert Canceled for 13-yYear Old California Girl
The Amber Alert issued for 13-year old Christina Ramirez of Hollister, California has been canceled. The girl and her abductor father were found in San Bernardino, California. The girl was found unharmed.

U.S. Marshals Capture Another Sex Offender
New Mexico Most Wanted Sex Offender Arrested in Denver:
On 8/18/2011, Raymond Vigil was arrested in Denver Colorado by the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Location Apprehension Group Task Force. Investigators believe Vigil had been living in the Denver, CO area since he had absconded 1 ½ years ago. Federal charges under the Adam Walsh act for fail to register as a sex offender are pending from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Colorado.
On 12/7/2009, a warrant was issued for Raymond Vigil, by the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office in New Mexico, for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Vigil was convicted on 5/29/2002, of 2 Counts of 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor. Vigil’s convictions came after he sexually assaulted a 12 year old and 9 year old girl. After the 12 year old victim reported the assault to her family, another victim admitted that Vigil had sexually assaulted her 6 years prior when she was 9 years old. These allegations were reported to law enforcement and Vigil plead guilty to the two counts of Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor. Vigil was sentenced to serve 3 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections. Vigil is a Tier III offender and is required to register every 90 days for life. Vigil last registered with the Sandoval County Sheriff's Office on 9/1/2009, and has been an absconder until he was arrested on 08/18/2011.
Vigil’s arrest was the result of interstate cooperation between the United States Marshals Service South West Fugitive Investigative Team (SWIFT) Task Force in New Mexico and the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Location Apprehension Group (FLAG) Task Force in Colorado. United States Marshal Conrad Candelaria said “ The Marshals Service for the District of New Mexico and the District of Colorado joined forces to pursue this dangerous sexual fugitive and did not yield in their investigative efforts until the New Mexico’s Most Wanted fugitive was apprehended; our communities and our children are safer because this dangerous fugitive is behind bars. The Marshals Service, regardless of the District is fortunate to have partnerships with local, county, state, federal and tribal law enforcement agencies, all working with a unified goal to pursue and apprehend dangerous criminals”.

Congratulations U.S. Marshals
Task Force Locates Absconded Wakulla County Sex Offender:
The US Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force (FRFTF) today announced the arrest of 39 year old Eric Sean Maxwell of Sopchoppy, Florida for the offenses of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender, Failure to Report Change of Address and Failure to Update Drivers License or Id Card.
Maxwell was located and arrested by members of the FRFTF on August 16, 2011 in Fort Myers, Florida. Detectives from the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Task Force after determining that Maxwell moved from his registered address in Sopchoppy, FL sometime after September 2010. Wakulla Detectives were performing a standard residence check on Maxwell in March 2011 when they discovered that Maxwell had moved from the residence. Maxwell was adjudicated as a Sex Offender by the State of Florida based on a 1992 arrest for Sexual Assault /Lewd and Lascivious Assault on a Child under 16 years of age and was required to register as a sex offender with the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office every six months. Task Force members received the case in April 2011 and spent the next 4 months running down various leads on Maxwell before finally learning that Maxwell was possibly in the South Florida area with a girlfriend. FRFTF members contacted their US Marshal counterparts in Fort Myers who located Maxwell in the back bedroom of an apartment located in Fort Myers, FL. Maxwell is currently being held in the Lee County Jail in Fort Myers awaiting extradition back to Crawfordville, Florida.
The Tallahassee Division of the FRFTF is comprised of law enforcement officers from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County State Attorney’s Office, Liberty County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Perry Police Department, Tallahassee Police Department, Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, and the Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office. These local law enforcement agencies contribute approximately 23 officers in both full time and part time roles with the officers sworn in as Special Deputy US Marshals. This deputation allows the officers to cross their normal jurisdictional lines to pursue fugitives wanted for violent crimes by their departments and gives their respective agencies access to the full resources of the U.S. Marshals.

Amber Alert Canceled: 2-Year Old California Girl Found Dead
The Amber Alert for 2-year old Madeline Layla Samaan-Fay has been canceled. The Sacramento toddler and her abductor father, Mourad Samaan, were found dead in the suspects' SUV. No other details have been released.

AMBER ALERT: 2 MICHIGAN BOYS
An Amber Alert has been issued for two boys from Detroit, Michigan. The boys' father, Charlie Edwards, said he put the boys to bed at about 10:30 pm. He fell asleep watching TV with his new girlfriend, whom he met online. When he awoke at 1:30am, his sons and his girlfriend were gone. Authorities say Rayshawn was last seen wearing a one-piece Mickey Mouse pajama outfit and De was last seen wearing one-piece red pajamas. The 2 and 3 year-old children were abducted by the 18 year-old suspect, Brianna Walker. The children were last seen in the area of 25th Street, near Vernor Highway in the city of Detroit. The children are believed to be in extreme danger.

U.S. Marshals Arrest Another Child Abuser
Abraham Moya Ortiz, 31, whose last known address was in the Del Valle area, was arrested this morning by the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force near the intersection of Tinnin Ford Rd., and Riverside without incident. Ortiz was sought by Bastrop County authorities last month for his alleged involvement with the continuous sexual abuse of a child, a first degree felony in Texas. Ortiz fled the area several weeks ago after he may have been aware of the pending charges that were likely to be filed against him.
Task Forces officers picked up his trail recently and were alerted to Ortiz’s presence in Austin yesterday afternoon after interviews in the nearby area confirmed Ortiz was loitering in the vicinity seeking day labor. Early this morning, task force officers established surveillance in the vicinity of several areas where individuals seek day labor.
Ortiz was transported to the Bastrop County Detention Center with bond set at $500,000.

The Amber Alert issued for 4-year old Jeremy Lee-Logan Guthrie has been canceled. The Atascadero boy was found at the intersection of El Camino Real and San Anselmo Road in Atascadero around 5:10 p.m. on August 5. The kidnapper, Annette Hale, has been arrested.

The victim's mother and the suspect are transients of Echo Shelter. The victim's mother and the suspect were involved in an altercation on the evening of August 4, 2011. On August 5, 2011, at approximately 0430 hours, the suspect abducted the victim and fled the shelter. There is no known vehicle associated with the suspect.

Amber Alert Canceled For 16-Year Old California Boy
16-Year old Haasan Ford of Antioch, California, has been released by his abductor. Haasan was in a local barber shop when a man with a sawed off shot gun burst in and robbed the shop. He took Haasan with him as a hostage. He released the boy very early this morning. Haasan is unharmed.

Body Of 11-Year Old Celina Cass Found
It is with great sadness to report that the body of 11-year old Celina Cass has been found in the Connecticut River. The child vanished from her home in New Hampshire on July 25.
